IELTS Centre in Cork

The IELTS department is currently looking for IELTS invigilators. This position is available on an ongoing, casual basis and successful candidates will invigilate the listening, reading and writing IELTS exams taken by candidates at Cork English College. It is necessary for all invigilators to strictly adhere to and enforce IELTS rules and regulations at all times.

The IELTS exams take place on Saturdays (usually 2 Saturdays per month).

  • Strong eye for detail
  • Effective team working skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach and able to work well under pressure in a busy environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Professional in appearance and attitude
  • Availability to work on 1-2 Saturdays per month

  • Teaching English at CEC

CEC are recruiting suitably qualified teachers for work in their adult school. Positions are available for the summer months of July and August and also for a more immediate start.

All teachers must have a primary degree and a recognised EFL qualification such as Cambridge CELTA, Trinity TESOL, ACELS CELT or equivalent. Experience is preferred but not essential.

Cork English College has a number of vacancies for internships in the following areas:

  • Office administration
  • Marketing

Suitable candidates must have completed their studies in a field related to the aforementioned areas.
A minimum level of B2 English is required. The placement period is from 3 to 6 months.

The placements are unpaid. Full training is provided. These placements are ideal for candidates who have recently completed their studies and are now interested in gaining practical experience.
