WHAT IS CELTA?
CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is an initial teaching qualification awarded by Cambridge Assessment English, part of the University of Cambridge. It is one of the most widely taken and recognised ELT qualifications in the world, with over 300 centres in more than 60 countries. It is often a pre-requisite to gaining employment in the industry.

In order to satisfy the requirements of the course, you will need to do the following:
COURSE PARTICIPATION
100% attendance on the course is required. Candidates should be aware that participation involves more than simply attending the course. Lesson plans and assignments need to be written and candidates should be prepared to devote time in the evenings and at weekends to keep up with coursework.
WHO ARE THE TUTORS?
Your tutors will be very experienced teachers who will have done CELTA (or equivalent) at some point in the past, obtained further qualifications in the field (such as DELTA, MA, etc.) and have been specifically trained to deliver the course and approved to do so by Cambridge Assessment.

WHO CAN APPLY?
CELTA is an introductory course for applicants with little or no experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Candidates with some experience but little formal ELT training can also be considered.
