Academic:
Students attend classes at the junior school every morning from 9am to 12:15 pm. All students are assessed on arrival and are then placed in classes with students of a similar ability. Classes are interactive and the main focus is on improving the students’ spoken ability and vocabulary expansion. A progress test every Friday ensures that the progress of each individual is monitored on an ongoing basis.
CEC teachers are native English speakers and fully qualified in the teaching of English as a foreign language. All possess a primary degree in addition to TEFL qualifications. All centres are recognised by the Irish Dept. of Education. The use of course materials is included. The average number of students per class is 10-12 with a maximum of 15.
