Mini – Stay Programme

Mini – Stay Programme

OVERVIEW
WHO IS IT FOR?
COURSE OBJECTIVES
ACCOMMODATION

The CEC winter mini-stay programme provides a short-term winter experience here in Cork for international school groups. Classes are personally tailored by the class teachers and our Mini-Stay coordinator to focus on the class group’s specific needs, and are fully flexible to accommodate new topics or ideas that the class or teachers may want to integrate into the lesson planning.

We will formulate a tailored customised programme for each mini-stay group which can also include activities & excursions to suit all group requests & budgets.

Each class is based upon effective communication and comprehensive work on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, as well as improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Throughout the programme the CEC tutor will monitor progression and adjust the programme to reflect this and best deliver on students’ time & efforts.

This course is for groups who wish to:

  • Develop their General English and conversational skills
  • Develop a clear idea of their language learning goals and a structure to achieve them
  • Cover specific language areas and modules of interest
  • Maximise their time & learning in Ireland
  • Live an enjoyable enriching experience

Our winter mini-stay programme focuses on helping students in class groups have a structured but flexible English language learning experience with English speaking teachers and a predetermined syllabus. The programme will include:

  • Group classes on specific predetermined content
  • The opportunity to have your class group activities translated and acted through the lens of the English language for deeper understanding
  • Activities to create proficiency in conversational daily English in an English-speaking environment
  • Engaging listening and reading activities
  • Dedicated project work to support your grammar and vocabulary learning

All of our Winter Mini-Stay groups are placed in locally based Host Families on a full-board basis.
