The situation in Ireland

At present there are a few confirmed cases in the country. The patients in question are currently in isolation and are receiving all necessary treatments. Of those infected by the Coronavirus most are expected to make a full recovery, and it is those who already have a weaker immune system that are considered to be most at risk once infected (e.g. the elderly or those with pre-existing medical conditions.)

What precautions are CEC taking?

We are asking all potential & confirmed course participants before their departure for Ireland to declare whether they have either visited any of the high risk areas as listed on the government website ( https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/472f64-covid-19-coronavirus-guidance-and-advice/ ), or whether they have had any contact with anyone from those areas. We have already been in touch with some clients from high risk areas who were due to come to us and have now postponed their courses until a later date.

CEC’s policy on postponing or cancelling your course

If you are located in – or if you have visited in the past 14 days - one of the high risk areas identified on the government website ( https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/472f64-covid-19-coronavirus-guidance-and-advice/ and are due to start a course with us at any time, then please contact us as soon as possible so that we can rearrange your course dates. There will be no charge for postponing your course to a new date. If you wish to postpone or cancel a course, then you can do this in accordance with our Terms and Conditions

Further information and updates

We are monitoring closely government and WHO advice on a daily basis. If there are any fundamental changes to either government policy or our own policies then we will update this page. The safety or our clients, staff, homestay and other partners is our top priority, so please be assured that we will remain vigilant and take all reasonable steps to ensure that everyone is safe.
